On 10-11 October 2019 the RIAS is holding the conference “Futures of Food” together with FoodDelta Zeeland and the HZ University of Applied Sciences (Vlissingen).
Under the heading “Global Problems, Local Solutions,” the conference brings together an international group of academic and professional experts to discuss a broad range of topical issues related to food production and consumption: climate change, biodiversity, land and energy use, sustainability, and aquaculture. In this way the conference situates the latest innovative developments taking place in Zeeland within a wider context, linking the local with the regional and global levels of activity. This is a unique event on future scenarios for Zeeland that is of equal interest for both the general public and the policy-maker.
